Woodruff Community Library Grand Opening
The Woodruff Community Libraryâ€™s open house was the occasion to receive a $10,000 check from Navajo County for annual support, presented by Supervisor J.R. DeSpain to Merla, joined by Geneva from the County Library District and the Woodruff library staff, Eva Tenney, Kristyn Saunders, and Amanda Knight.
Rim Community Library Check Presentation
Navajo County Supervisor David Tenney and Library District Director Geneva Durkee presented a $10,000 check to the Rim Community Library Board on December 14, 2009.â€śIt really is a pleasure to be able to make these contributions to our County libraries,â€ť Supervisor Tenney said. â€śWe know how important they are to the community.â€ť Receiving the check were Library Board President Michaele Grimm, Vice President Cynthia Levikow, Library Manager Kathleen Shea, Recording Secretary Janet Brown, Corresponding Secretary Val Porter, Friends of the Library Liaison Ann Baker, and library volunteers Mary Unger and Betty Raveling. Geneva complimented the Library Board members for being â€śsuch a wonderful crew to work with. We are so impressed with how smoothly this library functions.â€ť
Navajo County Donates to Clay Springs Library
Navajo County Librarian Geneva Durkee awarded the Clay Springs Library with a $10,000 check on Thursday, November 6, 2008. This check is part of a $10,000 allotment Navajo County Library District has given to the three small community libraries in unincorporated areas of the county for operating costs, such as utilities and insurance and building maintenance.
